Skin Is Getting Better

I stopped using Anthelios (waaahhh!!) and replaced it with Neutrogena Oil-Free sunscreen, I also started using Cetaphil cleanser for oily skin, and have been using Comelan 2 at night.  I have had no new break outs since.  I still have post-inflammatory hyperpigmentations (PIH) unfortunately. Which are fading slowly if I would leave them alone and be careful when I exfoliate.

I stopped using Proactiv and canceled my membership for re-orders, I also am staying away from oil-containing foundations.   So far so good. Although the PIH are getting me down.  I can’t wait for them to fully go away.  I HATE the red marks!!

I wanted to thank everyone for their tips!  You girls have really helped me out.   When I have more time I am going to look into those options the Shiseido Oil Cleanser, the spironolactone, etc. Thank you so much for writing me and giving me your support.  Acne can really throw you for a loop, especially when it happens suddenly and you can’t seem to figure out why.  Slowly, but surely, I will narrow it down.

I have noticed I need more Restylane under my left eye. I seem to have some swelling at the area where I have had the 5FU in the past.  It may be residual, or it may be coming back, or the hollow just seems worse and I need to get it filled. Regardless it seems to need some fixin’  Also I still need some Restlane in the left side of my lip as I am still asymmetrical from the scar tissue in the right side of my lip from the Radiesse and Gore-Tex removal.

Acne: What Works Best

Unfortunately, acne is a very stubborn mystery to us all.  I have had adult acne since I was 25.  Although it is very mild now, I am sure I am contribute to it by getting on and off and on the pill again over and over. Not to mention the various products I try (and either like or hate).  The best my skin has ever been was when I was on consistently for over a year and a half.  When it comes down to it, I usually have a few per month that I must deal with if I am off the pill.

Your acne treatment options depend upon how bad your acne happens to be, and how far you’re willing to go to rid yourself of it.  There are tons of acne products out there claiming they are your best defense in how to get rid of your acne.  From prescription to natural home remedies, acne “removal” systems are commonly a let down no matter what they are.

Acne Treatment Systems & Acne Product Reviews

I am not going to list every, or even close to every acne care regimen.  I would be here for weeks and give you useless information because it doesn’t really mean it will work for you, and I haven’t used every system.  Obviously I still suffer from it so obviously I haven’t figured it all out yet.  I can tell you what works for most, or has been

  • Tretinoin (Retin A)
  • Accutane (Isotretinoin)
  • Retinyl
